10 Best Celebrity Cameos In How I Met Your Mother

Throughout How I Met Your Mother, we hear very little of Robin's mother. Her father appears a few times, and he and Robin's mother are clearly not together, but that's pretty much all we know of the mythical Genevieve Scherbatsky.

That is, until Season 9 finally introduces Robin's mother, played by British comedian Tracey Ullman. Ullman brings so much false grace to the part, acting very put together, but losing her cool entirely when she has to get on an airplane.

Ullman's scenes are both hilarious and heartwarming, as Robin reconnects with her mother and makes strides in her relationship with Barney because of Genevieve's wisdom. Robin's mother was a great character late in the game, and Tracey Ullman was the perfect choice to play her.
