Buffy's arc throughout the main show (and briefly its spin-off) was phenomenal and complex. She started out the show aged sixteen, a Slayer who wanted a normal life but deep down knew exactly what she had to do in times of trouble. She formed a bond with Willow Rosenberg, Xander and Giles, and at the end of the show's first season briefly died facing The Master.

Throughout the next few seasons, Buffy fell in love, saw loved ones die, killed her own boyfriend, and learned her sister wasn't who everyone thought she was. She gave her life again in season five, saving Dawn and the world and fulfilling her duties as Slayer in the process. Resurrected in season six, he tried to rebuild her life but struggled to admit her inner turmoil to her friends.

Buffy began a strained (at best) relationship with Spike around this time, lost her best friend to a dangerous magic addiction, and later began training an army of Potential Slayers for the fight against the First Evil. Buffy was everything from friend, leader, superhero, sister and more, and by the end of the show had become the very best version of herself.
