10 Best Child Actors On TV

6. Johnny Seqouyah - Believe

Granted, we haven't had a huge amount of time to observe Johnny Sequoyah's acting skills in action. After all, her show Believe has only been out for a week, and this is her first major role in pretty much anything. But if there's one thing you can say about Oscar-winner Alfonso Cuaron, he knows how to work with young actors. One might recall the fantastic Little Princess from the early 90s, or arguably the first Harry Potter film that allowed the main trio to show a little bit of personality. Regardless of the show's limited run thus far, it's easy to see that Johnny Sequoyah has a bright future ahead of her. It's an interesting role, because she's not so much playing a child as she is playing a messiah, an icon, a superhero. She plays a girl named Bo, who has paranormal abilities that have made her into a target for evil forces that would like to exploit her powers. In order to stay safe, she has to rely on the protection of a wrongly-convicted man on death row. That's a far cry from most child actor's first major role, which usually involves playing someone's cute/annoying little sibling or something equally as challenging. But Sequoyah has been thrown into the deep end on Believe -- she pretty much has to carry the show.
