10 Best Child Actors On TV

5. Jeremy Shada - Adventure Time

Finnjeremy Believe it or not, the star of Adventure Time, Cartoon Network's monster animated hit with kids and adults alike, is still technically a child actor. In the voiceover world, young characters are almost always played by adults for a number of reasons, most of them related to the practicality of shooting with someone who requires an on-set tutor and can only work a certain number of hours a day thanks to those pesky child labor laws. Consider, for example, the career of Elizabeth Daily, who has spent the past twenty five years playing animated children that all sound alarmingly like Tommy Pickles. But it's also because it takes a certain amount of training and skill to be able to create a dynamic character using only the power of your voice, and most kids just can't manage it as well as adult actors can. Jeremy Shada as Finn, however, seems to be the exception that proves the rule. He brings a unique sense of humor to the young character with a vivid imagination, and continually gives an engaging, memorable performance.
