10 Best Christmas TV Episodes You Can Watch On Netflix
5. It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia - "A Very Sunny Christmas"
Many films and TV episodes choose to adopt the classic Christmas Carol formula where the main character is visited by three ghostly apparitions before realising the error of their way and transforming from miserable miser to cheerful chappie. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia gives perhaps the most deranged and confused retelling of this age old tale.
As the gang try to change Frank from the selfish prankster who buys all their favourite presents for himself we are treated to glorious flashbacks of their own strange Christmases. These range from Mac's childhood of breaking into other people's house and taking their presents to Charlie's realisation that the multiple 'Santas' who went upstairs to cheer up his mum may have been her many lovers and not the normal Christmas tradition he once thought it was.
While the gang may fail to successfully use the Ghost of Christmas Past, Present and Future to change Frank they manage to elicit two of the greatest Sunny moments: Frank bursting out of a sofa naked and Charlie asking a mall Santa "Did you f**k my mum, Santa?" A classic Christmas episode featuring the most despicable characters committed to TV.
