We all knew this one was coming, and really, who else deserves to be here?
Tom Baker's Fourth Doctor is the Doctor that our parents always reminisce about, and their passion was then passed on to younger generations when the 2005 revival came along. So, in a way, Baker is responsible for the strength and endurance of Doctor Who fandom today - how's that for a fixed point in time?
Taking all this history into account, Baker's cameo in 50th anniversary romp The Day Of The Doctor is one of the most special moments in Doctor Who history.
Hearing that booming voice, seeing his quirky mannerisms, and watching he and Matt Smith bounce off each other like old pals was amazing. Not to mention the fact that Baker got to bring the plot of the episode - and, in many ways, the over-arching plot of NuWho's first eight years - to a close, with just a single line of dialogue:
"Gallifrey falls no more!"
Russell, god knows how you're going to top this one in the 60th anniversary special, but you've got two years to figure it out!
