10 Best Family Guy Characters Only In One Episode

3. New Brian

Not to say he's not considered an equal part of the family, but the episode, 'The Man With Two Brians', is one of the best examples of the Griffin family treating Brian the dog like...well, a dog.

As Brian shows signs of ageing, Peter buys a new dog that he unsubtly names New Brian, intended to be the replacement pet for when Brian passes away. New Brian's personality is gratingly optimistic and outgoing, and although most of the family take to him like a duck to water, Stewie doesn't buy into his cheerful singalongs or morning flute playing.

Labelling him a "tool" and begging Brian to come back after he feels compelled to move out, Stewie finally confronts New Brian, unloading all of his meanest gripes about the insufferable new family member, from his karaoke nights to his habit of humping the furniture.

But then, New Brian makes the mistake of mentioning Stewie's beloved teddy bear, Rupert, in relation to his humping, and the next thing we know, Stewie is seen hauling a bin bag out to the curb with a stream of blood trailing behind it.

If there's one thing you don't do, it's cross Stewie Griffin - and New Brian found that out in the worst of ways. As far as the rest of the family is concerned, he somehow chopped himself to pieces and threw himself out with the rubbish. But we all know what really happened.
