7. Brienne And Podrick
Brienne and Podrick formed an unlikely friendship during their time together. Tasked with finding Sansa Stark, the pair of them left King’s Landing and soon discovered they were not alike. While Brienne was practical, efficient and intimidating, Podrick was rather feeble by comparison, having little to no experience of combat or surviving the wilderness.
However, eventually this duo grew close. Brienne’s account of the guilt she felt after the death of Renly helped create a firm bond with Podrick, who in turn said that he was proud to be her squire.
The pair of them also turned out to be an effective and entertaining team. Once Brienne had taught Podrick some basic riding and fighting skills, they ultimately accomplished their mission and brought Sansa to safety.
