10 Best Halloween Themed TV Episodes You Have To See

4. Hex And The Single Guy - The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air

The Simpsons Treehouse Of horror the shining
NBC

This one is worth mentioning just for how freaking bizarre it is. Earlier in the season, Hillary's boyfriend Trevor died in a tragic bungie jumping accident. Yeah, remember how messed up that was? In the Halloween special, Hillary visits a psychic in an attempt to say goodbye to Trevor. The guy just happens to live in the creepiest house of all time, with a massive trail of fog leading up to it and chairs that pull out by themselves.

Of course, Will thinks the psychic is full of !*$% and won't stop making fun of him, and so the psychic puts a curse on the entire family. Nobody really believes it, but then suddenly Uncle Phil is suspended from the bench, Ashley breaks her ankle, Geoffrey is deported, and most horrifyingly of all, Jazz and Hilary get engaged. Slowly they all start to realize the hex is real, and Will desperately tries to get it reversed.

The ending is also super weird and kind of creepy. Will wakes up realizing the entire episode was a dream, but then the identical events happen as if Will is cursed to relive the same terrible day again. While most Halloween episodes just depict characters celebrating October 31st, here's one that attempts to take the regular show and make it legitimately frightening.
