10 Best It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia Characters Only In One Episode

3. Grant Anderson

Keegan-Michael Key is a man of many talents, and It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia was the perfect place for him to display them. With his exuberant personality, he’s tailor made for cameos and walk ons. Here, playing a gameshow host, he gets to be even more over the top than usual.

A lot of the guest stars, both one off and more regular, play to the main cast’s strengths and just absorb their energy, letting the actors bounce off them. When it comes to Key’s Grant Anderson though, he rises even higher than them.

Putting the Gang on a gameshow is a brilliant idea, and using Family Feud (Family Fortunes, if you prefer) is especially genius as it makes the Gang just blurt out whatever’s in their heads.

Anderson manages to keep his charming game show host with a painted-on-smile persona throughout, while still getting demonstrably frustrated by the Gang. Most people who tangle with the Gang end up worse for wear, but at least by the end Anderson does end up the victor. It’s no surprise that the comedian shines here, and goes down as one of their best ever cameo guest stars.
