10 Best It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia Characters Only In One Episode
4. Ruby Taft
Ruby Taft might not be the funniest guest star the show has ever had, but she’s a great character who let the writers build a fantastic episode, and offer up what is possibly Charlie’s cruellest moment ever.
Played by Alexandria Daddario, the Hollywood star dates Charlie while her on-screen brother dates Dee (though ends up spending more time with Mac). Her brother, it turns out, is running a dinner for schmucks type deal, humiliating the two members of the Gang.
Ruby, however, has genuine affections for Charlie. She likes disconnecting from her privileged lifestyle, enjoys his company and treats him sweetly. Charlie seems to finally be getting over the Waitress too, with Ruby being a healthy love interest for once.
It turns out though that Charlie is running a similar scam on Ruby, simply using her to make the Waitress jealous. Once he’s lured the Waitress back, he immediately drops and belittles Ruby in front of her family.
Daddario has kept ties with It’s Always Sunny, starring in The Layover with Kate Upton, written by David Hornsby, who plays Rickety Cricket. Unfortunately, the film was a critical and commercial failure (like the bulk of Daddario’s recent work) with her career struggling to really get into top gear.
