10 Best It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia Side Characters
7. Bill Ponderosa
The Gang are an absolute mess of characters, the complete low lives of Philadelphia, frequently in trouble with the law, doing awful things and generally living in squalor. The fact then that Bill Ponderosa, a side character appears to have an even more debaucherously low existence when compared to them is evidence of how deprived he is.
First appearing in the episode Mac Fights Gay Marriage, Bill seemed to be a moderately decent guy. Although he had lost his way a little compared to how Dee spoke of his high school days, he was functioning. As the series progressed, however, we began to learn more about his consistent adultery, drug use and general addiction to the dangerous sides of humanity.
Taking the audience through many notably uncomfortable moments, the worst has to be in his first narrative with Dee, where he attempts to use her to steal his kids away from his wife. The scenarios he puts the Gang under are incredibly distasteful, and the fact that Frank acts as his AA sponsor only makes it worse.
Pondy is always a fun presence in the show as he continually helps to spiral the situation dramatically out of control.
