10 Best It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia Side Characters
6. Mauren Ponderosa
Sister to Bill Ponderosa, Maureen makes her first appearance in the same episode and towards the latter end of her time in the show is entirely unrecognisable. She first appears as a well adjusted and interesting person, but once getting involved with The Gang things begin to reveal themselves in a not so desirable way. Her strange tendencies and marriage to Dennis show that she is a slightly obsessive person who will gladly use any means she can to get what she wants.
After divorcing Dennis, he is forced to pay alimony to her, which instantly sets her up as a great presence in the show for she acts as a dramatic hurdle for Dennis to try and overcome.
But the central aspect of Maureen that makes her such an expressive member of the show is her gradual transition from human into cat. The more appearances she makes, the less and less homo sapien she becomes leading to some wonderfully funny moments, culminating in one of the shows best parody episodes, Making Dennis Reynolds a Murderer.
It's a shame that Maureen departed the show in such a tragic way, but also it's the perfect ending for this character. We won't be seeing her anymore, but she had a fantastic run.
