10 Best Moments In She-Hulk: Attorney At Law Season 1

One of the funniest jokes in the series is the opening scene of the final episode of the season. It is a recreation of the opening title sequence from the 1970s The Incredible Hulk TV series, which famously starred Lou Ferrigno.

The attention to detail here is phenomenal. From the aspect ratio to the grainy look, the music, the recreation of the sequences, the 70s clothing, and the similar narration, everything is handled with precision. When Jennifer Walters transformed into a body builder instead of the usual CGI as The Savage She-Hulk, it should have been expected, but the surprise brought out a burst of laughter anyway.

It is not just a "fan service" moment either. As revealed later, it was a nightmare by Jen after she got angry and Hulked-out in front of people at the gala. The genius here is that the retro opening is also about a person who turns into a monster when angry, with an atmosphere of horror and lucid dreaming. So, the opening doubled as Jennifer’s subconscious fears. She believes she acted like a monster and her thoughts are making sense of that trauma.

The nightmare sequence lasted a few seconds, but it became one of the most memorable moments of the series.
