8. Stronger Than You
Stronger Than You is from the episode Jailbreak, and it is essentially the anthem which represents the turning point of the series. Before this Steven Universe was a lot of one off, mostly silly episodes with a few character arcs strung between them but here the main arc of the series has officially arrived and things are never the same.
In the episode the Crystal Gems have suffered a defeat at the hands of the home world gems, but now that they've escaped their prison thanks to Steven. Most crucially, Garnet is back, and ready to even the score.
Jasper (one of the home world gems) - having beat them all the Crystal Gems before - thinks that taking down Garnet alone will be a piece of cake, especially because it is recently revealed Garnet is a fusion, and Jasper is very judgemental of this.
However, Garnet isn't about to put up with her, and proceeds to teach the villain and the audience a lesson about what real strength is. Her love and her unity is her power, and she won't be beaten down by hate.
Stronger Than You is both uplifting and empowering in its message, and sounds kickass at the same time.
