10 Best Netflix Shows Cancelled After One Season
8. First Kill
From a critically acclaimed Netflix coming-of-age show, to an admittedly fairly camp and inconsistent queer supernatural drama that was riddled with promise, First Kill was cut short after just one season totalling eight episodes. In what will sound like a brilliant or awful premise depending on your tastes, a teenage vampire and a vampire hunter fall in love without knowing each other's true identities.
It’s silly, sexy, and enjoyable, albeit melodramatic, and it’s carried by some interesting relationships that are fascinating to watch evolve.
The Romeo and Juliet story may be one you’ve seen before, but not quite like this, particularly with the sapphic romance at its core and some curious family dynamics. Unfortunately, just two months after First Kill arrived on screens, the show got the axe, failing to attract the numbers Netflix hoped for.
