5. Everything Sucks!

Coming-of-age stories starring a ragtag collection of quirky but loveable teens are a dime a dozen on TV these days, which is probably why half of them get cancelled. For every Euphoria that steams along season after season, you’ve got an Everything Sucks! which isn’t so lucky.

They’ve both got Sydney Sweeney in them though, so at least that’s a small mercy.

While you have to appreciate Everything Sucks! for being one of the only shows to cast teenagers that actually look like teenagers, there’s plenty more to love in this show set at Boring High School in Oregon. Earnest stories about friends, love, and family, an interesting '90s setting, and some really solid performances should have put this one above the rest of the pack.

Unfortunately, just like First Kill, the show was barely two months out the gate before it was announced there would be no season two as viewer retention numbers didn’t dazzle Netflix.
