Davros' right-hand man during the events of 1975's Genesis of the Daleks, this Kaled commander was more ruthless than many of the monstrous enemies the Doctor has encountered throughout time and space.

Likened to a Gestapo officer in the Nazi-esque conquest of Skaro, Nyder was completely devoted to Kaled scientist Davros and answered to him without question. Head of security for Davros and his compound, Nyder would do anything to see his master's plans succeed.

Even when Davros unveiled his Mark III Travel Machine - also known as the Dalek - and planned to commit a mass genocide of the Thals and his own people, Nyder's devotion never wavered.

Cunning, deceitful and manipulative, this Kaled even preyed on his own kind and those questioning Davros - tricking them into revealing themselves by pretending to be on their side. With no remorse or care for lives other than his own and Davros', he was the perfect subject to become one of the future Daleks.

However, when Davros unleashed his creations on the enemy Thals, they also turned on their creator and Nyder for being inferior to them. Not cruel or prejudiced enough to work alongside their creations, the Daleks identified Davros and Nyder as 'different' and exterminated them.
