10 Best Parks And Recreation Episodes

9. Leslie & Ron

Not going to lie, it was a little jarring coming into the seventh season, having fast-forwarded three years into the future only to discover that Leslie and Ron now hate each other. Their friendship has always been one of the most endearing aspects of the show, so to see it replaced by open hostility is hard to watch. The writers took a risk in taking away such a cornerstone friendship, but their gamble paid off with this episode. Basically, everyone is tired of Leslie and Ron constantly fighting, so they're locked in the Parks department overnight until they can resolve their issues. Initially, Ron doesn't want to talk, but through sheer annoying determination Leslie gets it out of him. What follows not only fills in some of the holes of what had been happening over the past three years, but it also poignantly showcases how much Ron valued their friendship while still staying true to his taciturn character.
