10 Best Performances In Prison Break

9. Christina Rose Scofield - Kathleen Quinlan

Prison Break
Fox

Prison Break never ceased to amaze or surprise its audience - so the reveal that Lincoln and Michael's saintlike mother had actually been alive all along, and had been pulling a number of The Company's strings was not only a surprise, but a befittingly confusing one at best.

Played delightfully by Kathleen Quinlan, the Scofield matriarch was as smart as Michael, and as vicious as Lincoln (even though it turned out Michael and Lincoln weren't actually brothers).

The permanent glare transfixed on Kathleen's face as she scowled and sneered her way around her sons was enough to put her on this list, but what put the cherry on top was her cold-blooded dialogue and manic bursts of unhinged rage.

Christina Scofield might have been operating at the level of a Saturday morning cartoon villain, but she fitted right at home in the Prison Break universe. The acting charisma of Kathleen Quinlan bounced off the other cast (in particular Wentworth Miller), and turned every interaction into a soap opera drama - which Prison Break was half the time.

Compared to the other Company baddie, General Krantz, Christina added a much needed antagonistic flare for the heroes to tango with.

I overthink a lot of things. Will talk about pretty much anything for a great length of time. I'm obsessed with General Slocum from the 2002 Spider-Man film. I have questions that were never answered in that entire trilogy!
