8. Jeffrey Dean Morgan - Negan
Whilst it would be pretty easy to write Negan off as the over the top villain of Seasons Seven and Eight, thanks to Jeffrey Dean Morgan and his constantly compelling performance he is currently one of the show's most likeable and dependable characters.
Yes, he killed Abraham and Glenn. Yes, he tortured Daryl. Yes, he waged war with all our favourite characters. But Negan is not simply evil and without depth. His role during the All Out War years was the best part of that particular storyline, even if it did occasionally slip into the bizarre and cartoonish, but come Seasons Nine and Ten he's a changed man.
No longer is Negan a cold bad guy. Instead, he's grown into a compassionate, selfless and loyal man who wants to right his wrongs and find his true place in the world. Thanks to Morgan and his performance, especially when he's seen interacting with Judith, Daryl and Carol, Negan has become the very best the show has to offer.
