9. Z Nation

Z Nation is set three years after a zombie apocalypse swept across the world, resulting in the death and reanimation of most of the world's population. Shortly before society came crumbling down, a prison experiment made Alvin Murphy the only person known to survive a zombie bite.

Unfortunately, the vaccine that he barely survived may have given him the antibodies necessary to fight off the virus that caused the zombie outbreak, but he's mutating into something between a zombie and a human.

The series is primarily set around Murphy and his travels with a small group of survivors led by Simon "Citizen Z" Cruller. Their goal is to solve the zombie crisis, and Murphy's blood may be the key to doing that, but it's going to require transporting Murphy from New York to the last known CDC lab in California.

Z Nation ran for a total of five seasons, which began in September 2014 and ran through to December 2018. By the time the series came to an end, 68 episodes had aired on SyFy. Unfortunately, the network opted to cancel the series shortly before the fifth season aired, choosing not to renew it for a sixth.
