10 Best Reoccurring Jokes In Avatar The Last Airbender

Joining team Avatar was not only precisely what Zuko needed, but everything that the fans wanted. Despite his antagonism, Zuko always felt like he was searching for something that was destined to bring him over to the side of the light, and thankfully we got that midway through season three.

His arrival on Team Avatar instantly kicks off to roaring success - and to establish a connection with each team member he has individual episodes with almost all of them.

We see Zuko take Aang to meet the fire-bending masters, changing Aang's perspective on fire-bending, as well as helping Sokka to free his father and Suki from Boiling Rock prison, and taking Katara to find her mothers killer.

It becomes a joke acknowledged by Toph that everyone seems to have these life-changing trips with Zuko, and that she wants in on it too.

It's great that the writers can poke fun at themselves like this. It makes sense within the narrative for they needed to justify Zuko's position in team Avatar, but in doing so they formed a coincidence for the characters to examine, paying off the joke with Toph worked perfectly.
