10 Best Sarah Paulson TV Shows

The seventh season of the popular show saw the narrative style return back to it's roots with AHS: Cult in 2017. During the uncertain times in America with Trump gaining presidential power, Murphy looked in to the fearful mind set of those citizens surrounded by a 'fictional' debate of a leader unfit to rule whilst a murderous cult begins appearing and growing in a town.

Paulson portrays Ally, a woman who suffers from extreme phobias triggered by the events of September 11th 2001 and regained after the Trump election. They range from clowns to holes as she hallucinates and suffers great anxiety from the outside world in fear of seeing her worst nightmares.

Ally soon realises her neighbours are not who they seem, becoming joined within a cult with her wife Ivy in a attempt to stay together. In moments within the show, Murphy gives an insight to the famous cult leaders through history, including Manson, Jim Jones and Appplewhite, all portrayed by Paulson's co star Evan Peters.

This season is definitely not one for the faint hearted as each character including Paulson suffers with the fears of their own neighbourhood and the dystopian future they are heading towards.
