10 Best Sci-Fi TV Show Villains
3. Ba'al - Stargate SG-1
One of the more fearsome opponents encountered by the SG-1 team beyond the Stargate, Ba'al is one of the last remaining system lords and a former Goa'uld, parasites who possess their victim's bodies. Through these abilities, Ba'al was able to outlast his predecessors and keeps a collection of clone symbiotes in storage should he ever be killed in battle.
He held a commanding influence over other timelines and characters for some time, overseeing much of an occupation of Earth at first. His hatred for humanity manifested itself through mass sacrifice.
The character was portrayed mainly by actor Cliff Simon, his calm and seemingly nonchalant demeanour concealing his real plans. Ba'al is very much a renegade, one often dismissed and neglected by many a star lord. After some time as a freelancer, he claimed his own territory in space and would end up murdering sixty million individuals by causing a supernova.
He has a real knack for escaping dicey situations and also hides out on uncharted worlds to avoid facing justice for his actions. Of the many foes that lurked behind the network of portals, Ba'al was easily the most devious, consistently eluding capture and becoming a nuisance in the affairs of many characters.
