2. The Hood - Thunderbirds

Moving into something more old-school, we have The Hood from Thunderbirds, the sworn enemy of International Rescue and a scheming criminal boss in his own right. The puppet-based show had a handful of different foes across its thirty-two episodes, but none were as dangerous or memorable.

Voiced by Ray Barrett, Malachi Throne and Andres Williams respectively, the character's introduction was certainly a creepy one at the time. Hypnotising Brains before burying him in the sand as bait to lure the protaganists in, he went on to become a constant presence in the series.

The Hood is well embedded in numerous military and spy agencies around the world, manipulating events and gaining access to a vast wealth of information. While his origins were left a mystery in the original series, his ultimate goal is to seize control of the Thunderbirds advanced rescue ships and use them for his own nefarious means.

Ironically enough though, he never comes into direct contact with Jeff Tracy and his family, instead keeping his operations under wraps. The way he still poses a threat, even when hidden away, made him a worthy adversary. His appearances stood out as more serious when put against other, sillier creations of the time.
