Jerry begins dating Cecilia who has inherited a vintage toy collection from her father. To Jerry's dismay, she won't let him play with any of the toys, so he decides to come up with schemes to allow him to play with them. After she falls asleep from painkillers, Jerry takes the opportunity to play with G.I. Joe and other toys.
After his girlfriend gets angry at him for running over a pigeon, George swerves to avoid another bird, only to hit a squirrel. From there, he ends up having to pay for surgery to prevent the squirrel from dying.
Elaine, on the other hand, faces a silent rival at work. Her co-worker has a way of quietly entering rooms and taking some of the claim for her good work. Elaine tries to do the same to him by purchasing wrestling shoes and giving him Tic-Tacs.
Kramer is really the star of this episode as he uncovers the set of the Merv Griffin Show and sets it up in his apartment and begins hosting a version of the show with the rest of the group as guests. He even introduces "gotcha" moments when he worries his fictional ratings might be falling.
