In the aftermath of Otis's huge house-party, he finds that he has lost his virginity to Ruby and now she needs the morning after pill. Their journey together is a reminder that Ruby is a person and not just the self-anointed it girl of the school.

It is also worth mentioning the 'withering' scene in which Otis tries to apologise to Maeve before a group of guys pat him on the back for having sex with Ruby. Whilst her reaction is cold, she later confides to Aimee, who tells her that it didn't mean anything as he was wasted.

Meanwhile, the core group of girls in the series Maeve, Ola, Aimee, Lily, Viv, & Olivia, all get detention after somebody wrote defamatory remarks about their teacher on the wall. Whilst the mock Breakfast Club argue about themselves and Maeve goes toe to toe with Ola over Otis, they soon stop and care for Aimee who has been coming apart by the seams as a victim of sexual assault.

The moment where they all show up to help her get back on the bus might be the best in the series so far, it was meaningful and poignant within the context of the social epoch that we all live in.
