10 Best Sketch Comedy Series Of All Time

5. A Black Lady Sketch Show

This is the newest series on the list but it deserves a place on it. With only one season in the bag, A Black Lady Sketch Show is already one of the funniest ever and it has the potential to get even better.

Created by Robin Thede for HBO, A Black Lady Sketch Show stars four female African-American comedians, including Thede. It's produced by Issa Rae, who also appears in some sketches, as do guest stars like Nicole Byer and the iconic actress Angela Bassett.

The series debuted to almost universal acclaim, and rightfully so. It's an absolutely brilliant mix of comedy about being a Black woman in America from different angles. There are one off sketches, recurring characters and one post-apocalyptic sketch that pops up in every episode. The writing is great, the acting is better and it's frequently roll on the floor funny.

While A Black Lady Sketch Show only has one season done, HBO has give the green light to produce a second one. Hopefully, it's out soon.
