10 Best South Park Characters Only In One Episode
6. Nelson Brown
South Park has delved into some incredibly dark territory in its lifetime. There has been talk of murder, racism, even cosmic existentialism, but amongst the top of those categories has to be the time that they tackled cancer in children.
The episode Stanley's Cup is an extremely dark chapter of the show that sees Stan become the manager to a pee-wee hockey team. Although he manages this crew with mostly indifference, they end up bringing him into their lives in exceedingly personal ways, and none more so than that of little Nelson Brown.
Nelson is first presented to viewers as an incredibly unwell looking child, and it's revealed that he suffers from Leukaemia. This sorrowful sight is then only made worse as his condition deteriorates throughout the episode, and the responsibility to keep the child alive metaphorically - and somehow literally - ends up falling upon Stan's lap.
The character himself isn't anything too special, but the constant crushing pressure and sadness that he places on Stan are equal parts heartbreaking and hilarious.
