10 Best Standalone Seinfeld Episodes
9. The Bizzaro Jerry
When Larry David left the show (around season 7), Jerry Seinfeld himself started pulling the strings behind the scenes and there was an immediate upheaval in fantastical, belief-suspending plotlines. There were times they nailed it, there were those raised more than a few eyebrows and then there were entries like The Bizzaro Jerry; perhaps the most underrated episode in the entire series.
Finally emphasising Jerry's whimsical, childlike obsession with Superman, they decided to merge fantasy with reality and insanity with veracity.
When Elaine starts seeing a new man, and no, we're not referring to a certain pudgy postman (that would be extremely hard to believe), she soon discovers there are some eccentric parallels between him and Jerry.
This only increases when we delve into his friendship group. If not absurd already, when his pals are brought into the fray it all soon becomes clear. They're all antithetical counterparts to the main group and if that premise doesn't scream gut-busting madness directly down your ear then you're probably living in your own Bizzaro reality.
