10 Best Star Trek: Enterprise Episodes Not About The Main Cast

5. The Andorian Incident

Star Trek Andorian
CBS

This episode is all about Jeffrey Combs. Sure, there are some Vulcans and other Andorians, but is anyone really watching the episode for them? Combs is one of the best guest stars in Star Trek's history, adding to his already impressive CV with Commander Shran.

This episode sets up the ongoing feud between the Vulcans and the Andorians, with a surprise ending that sees the Andorians vindicated in their beliefs that the peaceful logic-seekers were in fact spying on them. Archer and Enterprise get drawn into the middle of the fight, with the captain receiving a severe beating at the Andorians' hands before the day's end.

Despite this, he chooses to let the blue beings go with evidence of the Vulcans' deception, earning him a friend in Shran. This would become an important plot point throughout the rest of the show, with the Andorian appearing many more times, including in the show's final episode, These Are The Voyages. The ramifications of the Vulcans' surveillance would also be felt, particularly leading into the fourth season serial that centred on the search for the Kir'shara.
