10 Best Star Trek Pets

One of the earliest animals on Star Trek, this canine looks very much like a dog with a furry coat wrapped around it, assorted spikes, a dominant horn, antennae, and a weird rat tail all glued together to give the impression of an "alien" dog.

This little guy showed up in an early Star Trek episode named "The Enemy Within" where a transporter accident splits both the dog and Captain Kirk into two different halves, a good half and an evil half.

Sadly, the "alien" dog dies after the crew of the Enterprise attempts to fix the transporter's mistake. A death that's only slightly less sad than when Spock died in The Wrath of Khan.

This dog would be amazing to have as a companion, even with the scales, weird rat tail, and aluminum antennae. Though it would obviously be preferable to have the cute docile half of the dog rather than the evil half with barred teeth and murderous eyes.
