10 Best Star Trek Villains In Only One Episode

9. Sulan - Voyager, Faces

The Vidiians were one of the best creations in Star Trek Voyager, however they were also somewhat limited. Their main driving force was the Phage, the debilitating and wasting disease that was killing their entire race. Once this driving force was put the side, what really was the point to them?

As this limited the amount of time that they could be used in the series, they were often depicted in somewhat sympathetic ways. Sulan was the chief medical officer of the Vidiian Sodality, tasked with finding ways to fight off the Phage. He captures and splits B'Elanna into her human and Klingon sides, a medical marvel in itself.

However, he quickly devolves into a Frankenstein-esque monster. He harvests the face of another Voyager crewman, Durst, to appeal more attractive to the Klingon version of Torres.

This grotesque attempt at seducing her earns him a spot here, burned into the memories of the audience. Trek occasionally stepped into the gruesome and grotesque and this example pictured above scarred many when it first aired. These aliens, to whom the audience could sympathise to a point, flipped to full-on monsters. There was no reason to take the man's face other than to try and paint a brighter smile on a ruined face.
