Jedi Night follows Kanan as he leads a rescue mission to save Hera from the Imperial fuel depot on Lasat. When he rescues her, the pair fight their way to safety, eventually boarding a ship which Ezra and Sabine stole for them.

However, just as the Rebels are about to escape, Governor Pryce orders an AT-AT to fire at the fuel bank they're standing on top of. The fuel bank explodes, and Kanan uses the Force to contain the explosion just long enough for everyone else to escape, sacrificing himself in the process.

Kanan's final episode plays like a love letter to the Jedi. He shows his skills one final time, outsmarting Hera's captors, battling Rukh, and using the Force to save his friends. His relationship with Hera also progresses, with the couple saying they love each other for the first time.

Jedi Night reminds audiences why they love the character of Kanan so much, just before writing him out for the final episodes.
