10 Best Star Wars Rebels Episodes
4. The Honorable Ones
Though he's appeared in nearly every episode up to this point, The Honorable Ones marks the first leading role for Agent Kallus. He and Zeb find themselves stranded on a cold Geonosian moon and, despite being mortal enemies, must work together to survive.
The pair fight off local monsters, as well as the urge to kill each other. Over the course of the episode, the rivals start to respect each other, and Kallus even opens up about what really happened on Lasat: It wasn't supposed to be a massacre, but the Empire insisted on making an example of the planet, and he was not in command despite what he previously told Zeb.
The best part of the episode comes at the end, when the Rebels arrive to rescue Zeb. Kallus hides and sees just how much the Ghost Crew cares about their teammate. In contrast, when the Empire picks up Kallus, his co-workers give him the cold shoulder, and he sits alone in his quarters, his faith in the Empire starting to waver.
It would have been so easy to make Kallus a one-dimensional bad guy, but The Honorable Ones gives him serious depth and development. The episode also paves the way for Kallus's role in Season 3 as the Rebel spy Fulcrum, and the eventual end to his character arc, where he and Zeb live together on Lira San.
