10 Best Treehouse Of Horror Episodes

3. Treehouse Of Horror VI

The Simpsons Treehouse Of Horror
20th Television

This is one of the very few Treehouse of Horror episodes in which every segment is excellent in its own way. Starting off with Attack of the 50-Foot Eyesores which sees the billboards and mascots of Springfield come to life, led by the Lard Lad who is seeking his stolen doughnut, taken by none other than Homer.

Next up is Nightmare on Evergreen Terrace, a brilliant Nightmare on Elm Street parody in which Groundskeeper Willy (due to Homer's negligence to understand a sign) is set on fire and ultimately dies. He swears to the parents of Springfield that he will get revenge on them by attacking their children where they can't help them, in their dreams. Willy is the perfect analogue for Freddy Kruger and displays the same wit and whimsy that the original character shows while killing children.

Lastly is Homer Cubed, after slipping into the third dimension while trying to hide from Patty and Selma behind a bookcase, Homer becomes stranded. What follows is a surreal trip through The Simpsons' only ever 3D episode. Which eventually results in Homer entering our world.

When not spending time writing bios about himself, Thomas enjoys pretending that the stories he's spent years writing are famous TV shows, achieving the same cult status as Twin Peaks or Lloyd in Space.
