10 Best TV Characters Who You Never Actually Got To See

9. God - Good Omens

Parks And Recreation
Amazon Prime Video

How can you get any bigger than the big man himself? Or, in this case, the big woman/person. It's a very ambiguous God in Good Omens, from voice down to looks. But, the lack of clear definition and visuals makes them such a delightful mystery and alluring presence.

Good Omens depicts the unlikely friendship between an angel and a demon as they attempt to stop the impending apocalypse. Acting as the narrator for the story is none other than God.

Terry Pratchett's projects are notorious for their witty narration, and this one isn't an outlier. The character plays the narrator perfectly, with a dryness that adds plenty of humour whilst still moving the plot forward in a compelling way.

Also, the casting of Francis McDormand was spot-on. She has a nonchalant tone that plays up the idea of ambivalence, giving the Almighty a sense of gravitas and charm.

Although a second season has yet to be confirmed, there's still plenty of potential for another helping of this quirky show. Thus, the face of God may be in viewers' futures. But don't get your hopes up because the character's unseen nature is a significant part of their appeal.
