Charlie Brooker's Black Mirror is, to put it mildly, the best piece of satire in existence today. Though it's only six episodes old, every one of them comments strongly on where we are as a society and where we're going. Now it's finally hit stateside, it's only going to grow in exposure. The best of the second season was "Be Right Back", the dark story of a love lost but then found again in the strangest of ways. Without getting too spoiler-y about it all, if you didn't have a bizarre feeling of inner conflict when a certain reunion happened, you're not human - which means you'd fit right in, in this case. The acting is superb, the concept is among the most unique that television produced this year, and the degree to which the material is engaging is unlike anything in any medium in 2013. "Be Right Back" was an absolute mastercraft in television production. Why It's On The List: It dared to ask questions without clear answers, and it wasn't afraid to make us all very uncomfortable in the process. Not to mention it made a case for the ability to create something perfect in a single, standalone episode of television. Unlike anything else on this list, "Be Right Back" wasn't part of a serialized story, instead serving to tell a single story that fit in with the theme of a program. It did so expertly.
