10 Best TV Show Reunions Done During The Pandemic
7. The Office - A Fan's Dream Wedding
The Office fans are hardcore. There are fans with tattoos of quotes or character faces, fans who spend hours on Reddit discussing theories like who the real Scranton Strangler was, and whether Jim slept with the temp when he went to Florida. The Office's cast and crew are deeply grateful for their fans and one cast member that enjoys their fan interactions more than most is John Krasinski, who played the lovable goofball Jim Halpert.
When the pandemic hit and the world was sent into lockdown, Krasinski came up with a web series called Some Good News, and it was an instant hit; everyone in the world was clamouring for positive news and he knew this.
On one of his adorable web-news shows, Krasinski played a fan's engagement video, which was eerily similar to Jim and Pam's: the man got down on one knee at an American gas station. The couple were huge fans of The Office and were delighted to speak to Krasinski on his shows and became increasingly more and more delighted as their family and friends popped onto the video chat for a virtual wedding. Krasinski also invited a special friend to the wedding - Jenna Fischer, his very own tv wife.
That wasn't all however, because after Krasinski seemingly married the two right there on screen, he played a video where a few more familiar faces joined in on the celebration. The cast of The Office had filmed themselves in their homes recreating the iconic aisle-dancing scene from Jim and Pam's wedding. The featured actors included, but were not limited to: Steve Carell, Ed Helms, Mindy Kaling and Rainn Wilson.
It really was a joy to see; some good news indeed!
