Pretty Little Liars was a huge success when it was on air - every young girl tuned in week after week to try and solve the mystery of the identity of A. The show may not have been a work of art, but it had that addictive quality that brought in a huge fanbase during its run.
It's been almost 4 years since the series finale of PLL and fans still can't forget the show and its shocking reveals and scandalous relationships. There truly isn't anything on the air right now that's anything like it, and that's not from a lack of trying, considering showrunner I. Marlene King tried several times to recapture the magic with the PLL spinoffs The Perfectionists and Ravenswood. Not forgetting the Bella Thorne show Famous in Love.
The fans may have grown up since the series premiere, but their love for the show grew with them, and so they were ecstatic when it was announced that King and the majority of the main cast were going to reunite for a livestream in aid of Feeding America. The livestream got off to a bit of a rocky start when the fanbase literally broke the internet in their excitement! Once it got going, however, it was nostalgic, funny and it was really interesting to finally get answers to questions that arise from years of twists and turns. Seeing the cast back together after several of them have married and had children was also surreal; the cast and the fans grew up together and this was a bittersweet reminder.
