10 Big TV Shows That Were Cancelled This Year (And Why)

Aaron Paul's career hasn't quite taken off post-Breaking Bad - which explains why he's happy to reprise his role as Jesse Pinkman for the forthcoming movie - and that was compounded by the cancellation of The Path after three seasons on Hulu.

Produced by Friday Night Lights' Jason Katmis, The Path focused on a family who are all members of a cult called The Meyerist Movement, which merged together aspects of various religions and movements. Hugh Dancy and Michelle Monaghan starred alongside Paul, and the show received mildly positive reviews across its three seasons.

Hulu don't release viewership data, but the cancellation came amid a period of change for the streamer, with new execs coming in and a number of their older original series being scrapped in favour of bigger and buzzier shows, meaning it was the end of the road for The Path.
