Love 'em or hate 'em, a fantastic villain can turn any show or film into a great one. Game of Thrones has such an enormous cast from so many different factions that it's difficult to pinpoint who the real villains actually are, but there are certainly a few standout candidates. The lines between right and wrong, justice and injustice are so blurred in Westeros that everyone is an enemy to someone, and two sides we call heroes could be staunchly against one another. For example, we had Daenerys Targaryen on one hand, and Ned Stark/Robert Baratheon on the other. They were villains for one another, but both ultimately fighting for peace. There are also a considerable number of anti-heroes, none more so than The Hound. He was an instant villain, along with Jaime Lannister, though the pair have largely redeemed themselves since. Then there's Theon, though he's spent most of his time as a 'good guy' or a 'tortured soul' either side of a rebellious streak that left Winterfell in cinders. They won't feature here, with the list reserved for villains without a hope of redemption. Some are powerful, others cunning, some are exquisitely cool, others are cruel and venomous.
