10 Biggest Ongoing Criticisms Of The Walking Dead

8. Diversity Concerns

While the phenomenon of having a revolving door of African American men on the show has gone on so long and unapologetically that it€™s almost become a joke accepted by the fans, it€™s still a little troubling that this pattern continues to play out. T-Dog, Otis, Tyreese, Bob, and Noah have all come and gone, adding fuel to the suggestion that this is a real problem.

It doesn'€™t seem likely that the writers of the show are making a concerted effort to ensure the presence of only one black male at a time, nevertheless, it sure does seem to have happened a lot. The obvious defence of this is that considering the amount of characters that The Walking Dead has chopped through, it€™s easy to just chalk this up as needless politicisation, but it's a pertinent point all the same that doesn't lose anything in the current climate.

Obviously at the moment, the show stars Morgan and Gabriel, not to mention Michonne and Sasha and while they may have finally learned their lesson it's probably more likely they€™re just biding time before those characters all drop dead.
