4. The Muppets
The premise sounds amazing. Place the hilarious and diverse cast of characters featured in The Muppets into the tight confines of an everyday office and watch as they drive each other crazy. There's one thing, however, that the creators must have missed the memo on: Don't make them legitimately hate each other. Don't make it adult. And please, for the love of god, don't make it cynical. Cynicism is practically the antithesis of everything The Muppets stands for. The Muppets premièred in September on ABC. What we expected was a ton of hilarious stand-offs, conundrums and sight gags, wrapped up in a sweet cocoon of genuine emotion. What we got was details about Kermit's sex life, a plot about Fozzie internet dating and the revelation that Zoot from The Electric Mayhem is actually an alcoholic. Once you've heard the loveable Kermit The Frog describe his life as a living hell, it's tough to keep watching.
