E4's Misfits may have been based on the Marilyn Monroe film of the same name, but it took a decidedly darker and more comedic take on the material. Often described as Skins meets Heroes (which is just about the most 2009 thing you could say about a show), it was a deliriously fun teen drama with a superpowered spin.

Anyone who's ever lived through being a teenager knows that most of the time, life just doesn't make any sense. Misfits would frequently capture this uniquely teenage feeling by also not making any sense.

In one episode, the rise of a villain who can telekinetically control dairy products leads to Simon discovering the secret hideout of his future self, and figuring out that he is destined to become the mysterious masked man who has been helping the Misfits. It may not sound it, but all of that fully makes sense within the context of the show! It's what happens next that garners its place in this list.

After almost all of his friends are killed by the evil dairy king, Curtis travels back in time and gives him a big punch. This prevents the events of the episode from ever taking place, and erases everything that happened from history. Despite this, in the very next episode, Simon somehow still knows about the secret hideout, and has already begun training as a masked vigilante.

So.. If that episode never happened, when did he discover the hideout? It's an important moment that we'll never get to see.
