7. Sisko Punching Q

Q only visited Deep Space Nine once during the show, and he wasn't exactly welcomed by the crew.

He came to the station in the episode Q-Less, in search of Vash, the archeologist who Picard had a brief romance with in Next Gen. Q and her had been travelling together until Vash decided to part ways, but Q was persistent. He followed her aboard DS9 (where she was trying to sell her mysterious archeological finds from across the galaxy) and things quickly started to get weird.

First, Q forced Bashir asleep for the whole episode to keep him from hitting on Vash, which was when O'Brien noticed his old 'friend'. Sisko (familiar with Q's previous antics aboard the Enterprise-D) headed down to Quark's bar to confront him. Q messed with Sisko by making everyone else disappear from the station. At this point, Sisko was fuming. To mock his anger, Q then turned the bar into a boxing ring and started hopping around the commander and landing some nasty punches.

Sisko was totally done with Q's nonsense, and knocked him to the ground. It's indescribable how jaw-dropping this scene is to watch for the first time, given how powerful Q was shown to be. Even Q was shocked, saying 'You hit me… Picard never hit me.' Sisko responded perfectly with 'I'm not Picard.'

Sisko must have known that he stood no chance against a Q, but punched him anyway just to make a statement. This first impression is probably why Q never returned to the station again. Sisko was far less interested in talking to Q or playing into his games than Picard was, and far more focused on getting him off the station as quickly as possible.
