Supernatural is the longest-running American fantasy TV series—and rightfully so. Renewed for its fifteenth and final season, we’ll be seeing the Winchesters and everyone’s favorite angel, Castiel, take on the world’s most dangerous monsters one last time.

The team has stuck together through thick and thin, but Misha Collins, who played lovable angel Castiel for over a decade now, was meant to guest star on a three-episode arc back in 2008.

In Season 4, four months after being ripped apart and dragged down to the underworld by hellhounds, Dean awakens completely intact. After finding Sam, the pair (and Bobby) hunt for the entity Dean unintentionally brought home from Hell as a deadly souvenir. With a little help from a blind psychic, the Winchesters first meet their long-time sidekick and angel bestie, who's initially not all that friendly.

However, eleven seasons later, the winged warrior has become a quintessential member of the monster-fighting team. Collins, who became an instant sensation, shared in an interview with ETonline, "It was originally only three and now it's amazing. It's really amazing and I pinch myself all the time because it's very cool.”

Very cool, indeed!
