10 Buffy Actors Who Went On To Great Things

6. Amy Adams

Amy Adams made her film debut in 1999's Drop Dead Gorgeous, so she wasn't exactly unknown when she appeared on Buffy the Vampire Slayer the following year - but she wasn't really known, either. She was, basically, an actress with a couple of decent credits who filled a role - that of Beth, Tara's cruel, self-serving cousin in the season five episode Family. Adams would go on to acclaim in the film Catch Me If You Can alongside Leonardo DiCaprio following Buffy and other T.V. work. She would then appear in Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, and this little film called Man of Steel, where she portrayed Lois Lane. She'll be in Batman vs. Superman next, and has pulled double duty as a singer as well, contributing songs to several soundtracks. Oh, and four Oscar nominations are nothing to sneeze at either!
