Hidden behind several layers of prosthetic, it may not be immediately apparent that a pre-Supernatural Rob Benedict was originally in Buffy, but once you see him side-by-side with his vampiric counterpart, the square cut of that head and jaw are undeniable.

Benedict in fact appeared as the vampire Jape in the season four episode of Buffy, "Superstar", in which Jonathan (Danny Strong) casts a spell over Sunnydale to rewrite his own history and become the local superhero. One of Adam's (the series' antagonist) minions, Jape doesn't have many lines or a lot to do. While he survived the episode, his scenes from an episode later in the series were cut, and that was all she wrote!

Going from one end of the moral spectrum to the other, Benedict played Chuck Shurley on Supernatural... otherwise known as God. Introduced in season four's "The Monster At The End Of This Book", as the writer of the in-universe Supernatural paperback novel series, Chuck isn't outed as the man upstairs until season 11's "Don't Call Me Shurley". Not one to sit on the side-lines forever, Chuck goes from the world's only hope of salvation to a chaos-monger of the highest order, his tempestuous relationship with the Winchesters leading to a variety of apocalypse scenarios, and ultimately the removal of his own powers.
